Meet the Preacher

I'm so glad that you were able to drop in and visit my website. I pray that you will sense the presence of the Lord as you view each and every page.

I count it an honor that God would trust me to establish Sure Word Ministries, Inc. for His glory. The Lord gave me this ministry name a few years after my salvation experience. I quietly tucked the name away, awaiting the fullness of time for the ministry to be birthed. In February 2003, the Lord began stirring up the name in my spirit. As I diligently sought the Lord and received counsel from others who are established in ministry, I took a new step of faith in getting Sure Word Ministries incorporated.

Sure Word Ministries came from 2 Peter 1:19 which says: We have also a more sure word of prophecy, whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the daystar arise in your hearts. After operating under this name for almost 14 years, the Lord has instructed me to dissolve Sure Word Ministries and just continue ministering now as an individual. Less work for me. LOL

I am 61 years "young" now and still love Jesus with all my heart. I was saved in 1978 and filled with Holy Spirit in 1980. Prior to my salvation experience, I was an alcoholic, a drug user, fornicator, and the list could go on and on. My life was in shambles, but Jesus reached his nail scarred hand down in that pit of miry clay, pulled me out and set my feet upon a Rock and put new songs of praise in my mouth. Oh what a wonderful Savior!

I started in part-time ministry in 1986. I led praise and worship at a small church for almost eight years. One thing lead to another as the Holy Spirit began to direct my life in new ways. I started teaching Sunday School, doing concerts, preaching, and God began to really deal with my heart about ministering full-time for Him. "He called" me into the ministry. I didn't call myself. I didn't want to be a preacher, but God had His own plan. His ways are so much higher than our ways. So, for those of you who don't like women preachers, you'll have to talk to Jesus about this issue.

I worked a full-time secular job for almost 21 years and ministered part-time for Jesus. Those years seemed to be some of the hardest years of my life as God was preparing me for His work. I allowed Him to take me through the long process of Wilderness Training 101, 102, 103, 104 etc, even though it was a very discouraging and painful time for me. The process is usually a painful one, but very necessary. I didn't realize it so much then, but today, as I look back over those lonely years in the wilderness, I thank God for all that He was able to accomplish in my life. If it hadn't been for those years, I would not be the woman of God that I am today. The process is vital for our future.

In February 1994, the Lord directed me to move to Litchfield, IL to work full-time at a missionary organization called LRM Missions. This really turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The Lord allowed me to be mentored and trained by Gwen Davis, a mighty woman of God who walks in a true apostolic/prophetic anointing. It has been a privilege to be able to learn under her ministry and receive impartation for my future.

At the present time, I am the President of Sure Word Ministries and travel as the Lord leads and people call. :-) I am also working part-time at LRM Missions as a computer IT and Bible Instructor at their school. I am also on the pastoral team at the church All Nations Worship Center. I am ordained through LRM Missions.

I also find much pleasure as I travel and minister in the U.S.A. and various nations around the world. I have ministered in Barbados, France, Guatemala, India, Kenya, Mexico, Nepal, Russia, Spain, Uganda, and Ukraine. Everywhere I go, the people are just precious.

As a psalmist (songwriter), I enjoy playing guitar and writing new songs. Holy Spirit has given me many choruses and songs to sing for His glory. These songs have been such a blessing to me personally. I thank God that He enabled me to produce four music albums and one songbook. What a miracle and a blessing!

I have an Associate Degree of Christian Studies and a Bachelor's Degree of Church Ministry through The Sure Foundation Theological Institute. I have also studied with Berean School of the Bible in Springfield, Missouri, World Impact Bible College in Ontario, Canada and The Online Bible College.

As an international author, I have been blessed to be able to publish poetry with Noble House Publishers in London. My next poetry publication will be in Colours of the Heart, another Noble House Publication in the European Market.

I realize that I am nothing without Christ. He really does choose the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. I wouldn't have chosen myself, but He chose me. My heart's desire is to be a blessing to the body of Christ. I count it an honor and a privilege to serve the King.

God has great plans for His Church. We must continue in the faith and press toward the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus knowing that in the end - we win!

God Bless You,
